Kim Kardashian, the famous television star and model, has recently been hospitalized due to esophagitis. This illness is reminiscent of the disease that her father, Robert Kardashian, died from in 2003 at the age of 59. In the new trailer for season eight of "The Kardashians," Kim mentions this to her makeup team and talks about feeling unwell.
Painful Reminder
In this trailer, Kim tells her friends, "I have something called esophagitis." Following this, an image of her in a hospital bed is shown, looking tired while medical staff attend to her. One of Kim's friends asks if this is the same illness that caused her father's death. This deeply affects her mother, Kris Jenner, who says, "I can't, this makes me cry."
In Memory of Father
Robert Kardashian was a famous lawyer who served as O.J. Simpson's defense attorney during his murder trial. He was also a longtime friend of Simpson. Robert Kardashian passed away in 2003 due to esophageal cancer, four years before his family gained worldwide fame from the reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
In 2023, in an interview with GQ magazine, Kim referred to one of her last conversations with her father before his death, saying, "He told me: I know you will be fine. It's like I can see the future. Just please take care of your siblings." Kim also added that these words had a profound impact on her decision-making.
Last year, on the 22nd anniversary of her father's passing, Kim dedicated an emotional message to him, thanking him for "protecting the family from heaven." She wrote: "I can't believe you left us 22 years ago when I was 22 years old, and today marks 22 years since you left. I hope you are proud of us. We love you and miss you so much."
