Results show that changes in the Earth's center of mass occur due to snow accumulation in North America and Eurasia, rainfall in the Amazon basin, and seasonal waters in Southeast Asia. These changes can significantly impact the accuracy of measurements taken.

In addition to the movement of the Earth's center of mass, scientists have also confirmed that the geographic North Pole is moving and may shift nearly 27 meters by the year 2100.
