Talented Teenagers
Ryan McAdoo, Caden Britwitt, and Floyd Samba are the three players who caught Maresca's attention during the pre-season tour in Asia. All three players are part of a training program split between the senior team and playing in the under-21 team. McAdoo and Britwitt have already played in the Premier League, while Samba is looking for his first appearance in the senior team, which he will have the opportunity for tonight in the Carabao Cup against Norwich City.
Impressive Progress of McAdoo
Maresca was highly impressed by McAdoo's one-on-one abilities, especially in a friendly match against Inter. Despite a shoulder injury at the start of the season, the 18-year-old winger came off the bench in Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and Coventry City. McAdoo scored 10 goals in 19 under-18 league matches last year and seems to be on the right track for development. Britwitt and New Strengths
Caden Britwitt is also part of Manchester City's defense and played as the team captain in the FA Youth Cup final against Manchester United. He made his Carabao Cup debut at the age of 16, becoming the third-youngest player in the club's history. Britwitt has taken up boxing to enhance his skills and has caught Maresca's attention with his improvements. Last season, he recorded 24 goals and 10 assists in 38 matches.
Samba Awaiting His Chance
Floyd Samba, brother of Tyrone, is another young player looking to make his mark in the senior team. With his significant talents, he has come close to joining the first-team players and is expected to play a crucial role in tonight's match.
