Pat McAfee recently discussed the embarrassing moment of his meeting with Taylor Swift in the VIP suite of the Kansas City Chiefs during a television program. This meeting took place during the opening game of the NFL season for the team, where Swift was present as the partner of Travis Kelce.
Unexpected Meeting in the VIP Suite
In this game, Kansas City won 31-10 against the Denver Broncos, and Swift was the center of attention, celebrating her team's victory enthusiastically. Pat McAfee, who was reporting on the game at the time, went to Kelce's private suite and met Swift there. He jokingly said on his show: 'I asked Taylor, can I take a selfie with you?' and she smiled and agreed.
McAfee went on to mention that during this meeting, he accidentally got closer to Swift than expected and told her: 'I spilled all my sweat on you.' He recounted this incident in a humorous tone and thanked Swift for her kindness and hospitality.
The Atmosphere in the VIP Suite
McAfee also referred to the lively atmosphere in the VIP suite, where celebrities like Tom Cruise, Donna Kelce, and Jason Kelce were present. He said: 'This suite was one of the most exciting places I have ever been. Everyone was cheering and supporting the team.'
A few moments later, Travis Kelce caught a 59-yard pass that created excitement in the suite. McAfee shared his experience of watching the game up close, saying: 'It really gave me the feeling of being a football fan. Taylor was clearly enjoying herself in this environment, and it was an interesting show.'
Swift's presence at the game came while she was also nominated for the Emmy Awards, but she decided to be with her husband in Missouri instead of attending the ceremony. Although Swift ultimately did not win any awards, her presence at the game certainly attracted a lot of attention.
