Max Verstappen, four-time Formula One champion, competed in a unique event at Silverstone with 100 influencers. This challenge, known as "Max vs 100," was a golden opportunity for those who dreamed of getting close to the world of professional driving. The event was thrilling not only for the participants but also for the spectators.
Close Experience to the Professional World
On Wednesday afternoon, 100 of the luckiest individuals were invited by Max Verstappen to come to Silverstone to participate in this challenge. The event was designed not only for entertainment but also to promote the Red Bull brand. Participants from various backgrounds, from streamers to professional athletes, gathered to stand alongside one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One.

In the hours before the race, Max was seen casually walking around the paddock in Red Bull attire, appearing to have no particular worries. In contrast, the participants were preparing for the race with a lot of anxiety and excitement. I tried to ease some of this tension with a question for Max, and in response to a question about the race, he answered me with respect and warmth.
Competition and Challenges of the Track
The course of this event was a combination of the karting track and the main Silverstone track, providing us with a close-to-real driving experience. On Tuesday, we had a practice session that included several practice laps, a qualifying stage, and a quick race. These practices gave us the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the track and understand its challenges.
On race day, I prepared as one of the last groups for qualifying. During qualifying, I realized I was facing traffic, which prevented me from setting my best time. Ultimately, I placed 73rd for the final race. This position, while motivating, also put a lot of psychological pressure on me.
Two hours before the race started, we met with Disney Plus cameras and participated in a final session with the race director. He emphasized that no one was allowed to sabotage Max Verstappen during the race. This rule was well respected by all participants, and in the end, we all went to the track with mutual respect.
Finally, when Max stood next to us in his racing suit, it was a very exciting and terrifying moment. As I distanced myself from the race start, I tried to avoid collisions and place myself in the competition as best as I could. This challenge was not just a sporting competition, but an opportunity for all of us to experience the life of a professional driver.
