Maura Higgins arrived at her rehearsals in Los Angeles with a big smile and a sense of wonder. The Love Island star is still in a state of shock and awe after a dazzling night on Dancing With The Stars, where she topped the leaderboard with her dance partner, Mark Ballas.
Stellar Performance on Opening Night
On her opening night, Maura captivated everyone with a stunning performance of the Foxtrot to the theme of Traitors, dancing to Alannah Myles' Black Velvet. She quickly climbed to the top of the leaderboard with her partner, Mark Ballas, and this success was incredibly exciting for her.
Attending Rehearsals and Thanking Fans
The next day, Maura attended rehearsals looking chic in yellow and white sportswear. Instead of a regular gym bag, she carried a large Chanel bag. Maura also shared her amazing dance on Instagram and thanked her fans for their support. She wrote: 'I am still in shock and awe! Thank you so much to all of you for your kind words and support, and to my amazing partner, Mark Ballas.'
The television star also acknowledged the support of her fellow dancers, Rob Rinder and Lisa Rinna, who sat front row during her performance. Rob, who betrayed Maura on the show Traitors, encouraged fans to vote for Maura with a smile while holding a designer bag.
Dance Challenges and Competitive Pressures
Maura announced to the cameras that she has never danced before and has had no dance training. She said: 'I am actually in shock. But I have worked hard, and Mark is an amazing teacher.' While some of her fellow dancers have criticized this collaboration, Maura remains unfazed by the drama and is focused on delivering an outstanding performance.
Referring to the physical challenges of this experience, she said: 'My body has experienced a big shock. I expected it to be hard, but it is really hard. But I am enjoying it and want to make the most of this opportunity.'
