John Ternus, Apple's new CEO, made an unexpected appearance at the Emmy ceremony last night and impressed everyone with the display of his Duo iPhone. He asked a reporter from the media, "Do you want to see it?" and as he pulled the device out of the inner pocket of his jacket, the excitement of the journalist was clearly felt.

The Duo iPhone is Apple's first foldable device, which was only introduced to the world a few days ago. The device is set to go on sale by the end of October, but Ternus brought a sample of it with him to the Emmy ceremony. In a short clip released from the event, Ternus takes the device out of his pocket and opens it to show its large internal display.

This 13-second clip was quickly shared on social media, and many users expressed curiosity about the device. Some viewers pointed out the darkness of the display and raised the question of whether Ternus had dimmed it for security reasons. However, Apple explained that this feature is due to the nano-texture that reduces glare and creates a matte surface.
Many other users praised the opened display without a crease. One user wrote: "There is no line. None!" and another added: "You can't even see a line! Apple has done an amazing job."
While some viewers focused more on Ternus's persona, one fan jokingly said: "Ternus is like 007 over there." Another added: "Going to the Emmy ceremony in a suit with a phone that no one else in the world has is truly amazing."
The Duo iPhone will be priced at £1,999 (equivalent to $1,999) and its design is book-like, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. The device features two displays with a 1.4 ratio, ensuring that apps do not distort when switching between views. The outer display is 5.4 inches, while the inner display reaches 7.6 inches.
This device allows users to use it at any angle, and they can even leave it partially open to watch movies. With the new A20 Pro chipset, the Duo iPhone is capable of running multiple applications simultaneously and also supports the Apple Pencil, making it the first iPhone with this capability.
