PGA Tour Commissioner, Brian Rolapp, firmly announced today that under current conditions, there is no plan for LIV golfers to return to this tour. This statement is particularly unwelcome news for stars like Jon Rahm, Cameron Smith, and Bryson DeChambeau, who have recently joined this league.
A Firm Response to Hopes
While some golfers, including Jon Rahm, hoped to return to the PGA Tour easily like Brooks Koepka, who joined LIV earlier this year, Rolapp dashed those hopes by stating, "We are not currently thinking about a plan for members to return." He emphasized that everyone in the PGA Tour is focused on the organization's interests.

Challenges of Returning
According to the current PGA Tour rules, any golfer who has joined LIV must wait at least 12 months from their last game in this league before they can compete again. Additionally, these individuals must also be approved through the DP World Tour. These rules clearly indicate that returning to the main tour is not simply possible for LIV golfers.
For Jon Rahm, who is recognized as a member of the European Tour, it is expected that he will choose this option as a way to return to golf. Furthermore, given LIV's bankruptcy announcement, he may be able to free himself from the remainder of his contract with this league. Rahm is currently playing in the BMW Championship at Wentworth and noted that there will likely be no clarity regarding his future until November.
He said about this, "Nothing has changed. A long legal process lies ahead, and until these issues are resolved, I cannot provide an answer. I hope to play well this week and decide at the end of the year, whether in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or wherever it may be. Until the end of this current season in November, I really cannot provide an answer."
